Dr Alexandra Rawlins

Alex’s area of expertise is Minor Oral Surgery, which includes treating impacted wisdom teeth, complex extractions and minor surgery on the soft tissues of the mouth.

She particularly enjoys helping patients who may feel nervous about having a surgical procedure. She aims to provide a calm and reassuring environment, taking time to explain treatment options and ensure patients feel comfortable and well informed before and after their dental treatment.

Alex graduated with a BDS in Dental Surgery from Cardiff University in 2019, and has since completed several further training programmes in Oral Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery across South Wales. She is currently undertaking registrar training to become a Specialist in Oral Surgery.

Alongside her clinical work, Alex has a strong interest in improving the quality and safety of patient care. She has undertaken an NHS Clinical Leadership Fellowship and has led award-winning quality improvement work on patient safety.

Outside of dentistry, Alex enjoys running, baking and gardening.
